BMW X5 F15 at Schmiedmann Odense
Schmiedmann Odense had the pleasure of giving this BMW F15 X5 30d the big ride!
The owner needed to repair an insurance claim where the rear bumper had to be replaced.
His good experience with Schmiedmann for 10 years meant that it was of course us who had to repair his fine BMW F15 X5.
Both the engine and the undercarriage were completely overhauled.
The engine had suffered connecting rod bearing damage, the engine was full of metal shavings and the engine had to be overhauled in co-operation with a German engine specialist.
All parts with oil flow have been changed, i.e. turbos, oil pipes and oil coolers, etc.
The AdBlue nozzle was completely clogged with crystals, which of course led to an error message. The nozzle has been replaced and the car is running perfectly again.
The car's undercarriage has also been gone through, the control arms, struts, rear control arm bushes have been replaced and the car has been tracked.

Wild BMW enthusiast from Turkey
One of Schmiedmann Odense's major Turkish customers shares his story here.
"I have always had a passion for cars, especially the BMW E30 M3. These cars represented the ultimate driving machines, they are everything I loved about cars. As a teenager, I spent countless hours immersing myself in magazines and online forums, studying every detail on these cars and dreaming of the day I would own one.
Many years later, I was able to fulfil my dream of owning not only a BMW E30 M3, but also a Porsche 997.1 Turbo, which had become a new obsession for me.
The E36 M3 Coupe was my first purchase and it was an absolute pleasure to drive. The straight-six produced a symphony of sounds and the car ran like clockwork. It was the perfect combination of power and sporty handling and I knew I had made the right choice.
But owning cars wasn't enough; I wanted to share my passion for cars with others, so I started restoring cars for my friends. I started with a background in bicycle restoration and manufacturing and I knew that restoring cars was my calling. I had a passion for understanding and appreciating the technique and craftsmanship that goes into making these machines.
I started with the BMW E28 535i, BMW E31 850csi and BMW E46 M3 with EsMotor (Turkish tuner) HPF Stage 3 turbo, all of which were challenging restoration projects that required a lot of time, effort and expertise. But the end result was always worth it - a perfectly restored car that looked and drove like new.
Restoring cars has given me a new perspective on the automotive world. It's not just about owning cars; it's about understanding and appreciating the engineering and craftsmanship that goes into making these machines. It's about preserving the history and heritage of these cars for future generations to enjoy.
My passion for cars has been a lifelong journey and it has brought me immense joy. From my love of the BMW e30 M3 to my collection of BMW M cars and my restoration projects, cars have always been a part of my life. And I look forward to continuing my journey, exploring new cars and restoration projects and sharing my passion with others who share my love for these magnificent machines."
The project the customer is most proud of is the rebuild of this BMW E30 M3 with a very special engine.
A 2.5L engine is fitted, as in the E30 EVO, compared to the other E30 M3s at 2.3L with titanium connecting rods, with Carilo pistons and titanium, 39mm intake valves.
With an updated ECU, it produces 280bhp.
The engine is built by a Turkish specialist, and is described by our customer as "more or less a DTM engine".
And we believe him when he says that this makes for a very special driving experience.
