Schmiedmann Odense installs BMW M-Performance rear pan and pipe tails on BMW G30 545e
The owner of this beautiful BMW G30 545e stopped by Schmiedmann Odense to have a new rear pan and pipe tails fitted.
It was original BMW M-Performance parts from a BMW G30 540I.
The customer had spoken to our foreman Victor about how best to optimise the sound on the BMW G30 545e. There aren't many sports mufflers for BMW hybrids.
But of course, at Schmiedmann we can fit the cool BMW M-Performance parts so that the customer gets the best sound from their BMW G30 545e.
On a BMW G30 545e, the pipe diameter to the rear muffler is not the same as the M-Performance, so a pipe adapter from the narrow original diameter to the larger M-Performance diameter is needed. The adapter is welded in and the M-Performance muffler fits the BMW G30 545e.
The M-Performance pipe tails sit further out on this BMW G30 545e than they would on a BMW G30 540I. It could have been remodelled, but the customer thought it looked good as it was.

BMW E60 530I 6HP gearbox in emergency programme
At our workshop at Schmiedmann Odense, we had a customer visit us in his BMW E60 530I with automatic transmission.
The car had repeatedly entered the emergency programme and reported a gearbox failure.
Of course, our skilled foreman is also familiar with the known problems of the BMW E60's 6HP automatic transmission.
Upon further investigation, we realised that it was the TCU that was causing problems.
This was refurbished and fitted to a used gearbox.
